UAMS Neuropsychology Clinic (Psychiatric Research Institute)

About

The neuropsychology service at the UAMS Psychiatric Research Institute was created to provide neuropsychological assessment for adolescents and adults with neurological, medical, neurodevelopmental, and psychiatric conditions. Using standardized instruments, its evaluations measure areas such as memory, attention and concentration, and reaction time. Patients seen include young adults with sports-related head injuries, injured veterans, people hurt in motor vehicle crashes, and those being assessed for dementia, and results are used to guide treatment recommendations and future care planning.
