About Concussion Care Finder

Concussion recovery is hard enough. Finding the right specialist shouldn't be.

Our mission

Every year millions of Americans sustain concussions — and most are told to "rest and wait." But modern concussion care is active and multidisciplinary: vestibular therapy for dizziness, neuro-optometry for visual symptoms, neuropsychology for cognitive concerns, graded exertion programs for athletes. The challenge is finding those specialists. Concussion Care Finder exists to close that gap with the most complete, verified directory of concussion-focused care in the United States.

Who's behind Concussion Care Finder

Concussion Care Finder was created by Jon MacKay, PharmD, BCACP, a board-certified clinical pharmacist, and is built on a simple conviction: no one should have to recover from a concussion alone or on outdated advice.

Concussion care has advanced enormously — modern treatment is active, multidisciplinary, and time-sensitive — but too many people are still told to sit in a dark room and wait. Grounded in current clinical guidance and peer-reviewed research, this directory exists to close the gap between what the science says and the care people actually find, by connecting patients, parents, and athletes with the clinicians who practice modern concussion medicine.

Transparency: Jon is also the founder of ConcussionCare+, a clinician-formulated nutritional supplement for concussion recovery, which sponsors this directory. Sponsor placements are always labeled, listings are never ranked or filtered by sponsorship, and inclusion in the directory is free.

Methodology

Our directory covers all 50 states and Washington DC — 3,214 listings including dedicated concussion centers, hospital and university programs, children's hospitals, sports medicine groups, neurology and PM&R practices, and rehabilitation clinics specializing in concussion.

Every listing was verified against the provider's own public website. We do not scrape third-party review sites, we do not guess contact information, and we exclude providers who don't publicly advertise concussion care. Each record carries the date it was last verified.

What we list

We prioritize dedicated concussion and brain-injury programs, then concussion-focused specialists in sports medicine, neurology, physical medicine & rehabilitation, neuropsychology, vestibular and vision rehabilitation, and speech-language pathology. General primary care, urgent care, and emergency departments are excluded by design.

Medical disclaimer

Concussion Care Finder is an informational resource, not a healthcare provider, and listings do not constitute medical advice or endorsement. Always verify credentials and insurance directly with providers. If you suspect a concussion, consult a qualified clinician promptly — and call 911 for red-flag symptoms such as worsening headache, repeated vomiting, seizures, or loss of consciousness.
