The Cottage Concussion Clinic is the regional referral center and safety-net provider for concussion and mild TBI care for youth across Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo counties. It offers diagnosis, individualized treatment, an academic plan to ease students back into school, and graded return-to-play protocols with formal sports clearance. Baseline testing covers symptom history, neurologic exam, vestibular-ocular motor screening, and cognitive and balance assessment. Founded by a trauma medical director and run by a nurse practitioner, the clinic also draws on pediatric neurology, therapy, ophthalmology, and neuropsychology as needed.
