Pikeville Medical Center's Neurology service is part of its Neurosciences program, which also includes stroke care, physical rehabilitation and neurosurgery. Care is provided by board-certified neurologist Dr. Naveed Ahmed, who has practiced in the region for over a decade and specializes in headaches, stroke, spine disorders and neuro-rehabilitation while directing the hospital's Primary Stroke Center. The program supports evaluation and management of brain and nervous system conditions for patients across eastern Kentucky.
