NewYork-Presbyterian's Concussion Clinics bring together multidisciplinary teams of neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists, sports medicine physicians, neuro-ophthalmologists, physiatrists, and physical therapists to assess and monitor concussion symptoms and function, including in children. Neuropsychological testing is used to gauge injury and track recovery and to shape safe return-to-school and return-to-play recommendations. The program also consults with high schools, colleges, and professional teams and offers testing and treatment for emotional and cognitive effects of brain injury.
