CHOC's Concussion Program, part of its Traumatic Brain Injury Program, evaluates and treats children and teens after a head injury. The team includes concussion-trained pediatricians, neurologists, neuropsychologists, and neurosurgeons, plus physical, occupational, and speech therapists, and uses ImPACT neurocognitive testing for baseline and post-injury assessment. More advanced care for severe or persistent cases is available through the CHOC Neuroscience Center, and the program coordinates with schools and coaches on return-to-learn and return-to-play, backed by a pediatric emergency department and after-hours concussion hotline.
