Part of Hartford HealthCare's Sports Health program, this clinic evaluates athletes who have taken a blow to the head. A comprehensive assessment covers injury history, symptoms, physical characteristics such as sleep and cognition, and objective concussion test measurements, followed by a follow-up action plan, return-to-play guidance, and referrals to other specialists when needed. The team, directed by a physiatrist and sports medicine specialist, also advises coaches, athletic directors, parents, and student athletes on prevention.
