University Orthopedics created this center, staffed by a dedicated sports concussion physical therapist, to make rehabilitation more accessible to newly diagnosed athletes and to those still coping with lingering symptoms. Therapy targets post-traumatic headache, neck pain from whiplash-type injury, positional vertigo and other vestibular problems, oculomotor and convergence deficits, and autonomic or cardiovascular dysfunction. Clinicians also use dual-task and sport-specific cognitive work to guide a graded return to activity. A physician referral is required before treatment begins.
