Atrium Health Carolinas Rehabilitation offers concussion care led by a physiatrist board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation and brain injury medicine, an approach shared by only a few programs. The interdisciplinary team includes neuropsychologists, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists who address balance, cognition, vision, mood, and daily-function issues. Care plans are reviewed monthly and adjusted, and treatments may include cognitive therapy, vision therapy, physical therapy, medication, and mental health support.
