UConn Health's NeuroSport program combines sports neurology and orthopedics to diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate athletes with concussion and other traumatic brain injuries, as well as related neurologic conditions such as migraine, spinal injuries, and nerve damage. Led by a medical director who is a neurologist and serves as a consultant to professional sports organizations, the team brings expertise gained treating high-level athletes and UConn research into community care. Most patients recover within about two weeks, with neuropsychologists and physical therapists added when symptoms persist. Telehealth visits are available.
